Why is the app store trying to use the webcam?

Installed Kaspersky, blocked applications from accessing the webcam
When I go to the app store, a notification pops up that the webcam has been blocked.
What does mac os use it for when launching the app store?

The store simply asks for a list of available hardware and then uses that information to rank the results and display compatible software.
