Why is SMART not shown for a new external HDD (4TB)?

Colleagues, yesterday I bought a new external hard drive 4TB SEAGATE STEB4000200 EXPANSION DESKTOP DRIVE in the store.
Connected, launched Victoria HDD (4.46, 4.47) for Windows, went to the SMART tab - writes that it is not supported.
Tried some other utility - the answer is the same. This is the first time I've come across something like this, so I decided to ask you...
Is this normal?

Try smartctl with the appropriate keys. Most likely "usbjmicron[,p][,x][,PORT]"
In general, man smartctl.

external USB drive, and even 4TB

Yes, some programs may not show. The program itself must know about such a disk volume, such a drive, and even support it SMART via the USB interface.
Victoria HDD (4.46, 4.47) of course does NOT know, because It has not been developed for many years, therefore it is outdated.
