Why is my Samsung 860 EVO SSD disappearing?
After several months of use, the Samsung 860 EVO drive suddenly stops working (several times a day), which leads to a system freeze, a death screen, and the subsequent absence of the drive in the BIOS.
When the computer is restarted, the system also cannot boot, because it does not see the drive in the BIOS.
After completely shutting down the computer, everything returns to normal.
Here is the information from SMART (from Samsung Magician):
After each failure, item 235: POR Recovery Count is incremented by one .
The power supply was replaced with a new one, as there were suspicions about it, but this did not solve the problem.
If during the beginning of the failure, before the death screen appears, you re-insert the power cable of the drive, then everything will return to normal and the system will continue to work.
