Why is my laptop screen dimming?

Hey!
There are 2 laptops with win7 home basic available. Observed the same problem on other laptops with exactly the same OS. The bottom line is that several times a day the screen becomes bright pale. This happens when switching from standalone mode to charging (and vice versa) (it does not always happen), as well as when the laptop wakes up. These cases are at least the most common. Perhaps there were others.
It is treated simply. I go into the screen color quality settings and see the slider responsible for the shades. He is in an extreme position. It is worth pulling it and putting it back in place - everything becomes good. Until the next crash.

Rummage through the power (control panel - power management) and turn off everything where the screen is mentioned, Windows itself dims the screen to save energy, and it seems to forget / glitch back, it can be turned off, but I can’t say exactly where, alas.

I met something similar when switching the laptop to the “Battery saving” mode with the native Asus utility (Power4 Gear, it seems). At the same time, even the shortcuts from the desktop disappeared for one comrade :)
