Why is my internet connection dropping?
Hello!
Bought a new router. Router model: ASUS RT-AC1200RU . Set up connection. The scheme is as follows: the provider's cable is connected to the router, and from it to the computer. I also wanted to connect another computer via cable. On the first computer, cable internet works fine, but on the second it is reset. Written "Identification ... Internet connection is not available" and is immediately reset. After a second, the connection is resumed again. What is it for? How to fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

Hello.
This router has a Dual WAN function, where the main WAN and the secondary WAN are selected in the settings - you can use two providers on the same router, one of them will use the main WAN and the other will use the secondary WAN. Look in the settings, there may be a "non-working" PC connected to one of these ports. If Dual WAN is disabled, go to the options below:
1. Turn off Wi-Fi, restart the PC, again, with Wi-Fi disabled, connect via cable.
2. If 1. does not help on a normally working PC, look in the connection properties to see how it receives an IP, via DHCP or manually set. And in the "Details" look at which IPs are received / installed, which gateway, which DNS. Do the same with the "non-working" PC, subnet, gateway and DNS should be the same, differ only in IP by the last digits.
3. If everything is OK with the settings but does not connect, update the network card drivers on the "non-working" PC.
