Why is gmail smtp not accepting login and password?

Good night all! Tell. Already wrapped up with this gmail. In general, I'm trying to send an email, but I see an error in the console

"Swift_TransportException in AbstractSmtpTransport.php line 383:
Expected response code 250 but got code "535", with message "535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at
535 5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/answer/14257 bd7sm7295422lbc.27 - gsmtp"

What am I doing wrong? The username and password are exactly the same. On stack, it was advised to allow access to untrusted applications. I allowed. And it makes no sense. How to fix?

Most likely the port is wrong. Use tls instead of ssl

Presumably when you toggle the setting for unsecure apps, the changes take some time to take effect. Try sending via SMTP, for example, an hour after you change the setting, I encountered a similar problem, unsubscribed about the problem and the situation at the link, look at PHP. PhpMailer how to send SMTP mail via gmail.com from google? Why authorization error?
PS I see that you asked a question more than 3 years ago, I just stumbled upon your question in the search, and I have a similar situation. Maybe someone needs.
