Why is connecting to x2go server not working in Ubuntu 14.04?

If you install XFCE or MATE, and specify the session type (XFCE or MATE) in the x2go client, then the connection is completed successfully. But can't connect to Gnome 3?

gnome 3 requires 3D acceleration. I think that's the point.
