Why doesn't WordPress find the page if I write a direct path to the generated mysite_ru/contact.php file?
Hello.
Actually the essence of the issue has already been disclosed.
But I'll clarify. I created a new file called contact.php in order to link to it in the menu. In it, I plan to bring everything you need. But the fact is that when writing a direct link in the menu, wp says that the file was not found. How could it not be found if the link is correct and the file is where I indicated. Nevertheless, it goes to other sites without problems.
Or can this problem be solved differently? I just didn’t find another way out, the page.php page is displayed in all menu items, and I need different pages for the menu.
Very much I ask to answer people understanding.
I will be very grateful.

The question is not clear.
Where is this file? What do you want to do with it? If the file is at the root, then what logic are you pursuing?
I advise you to make a separate plugin and create menus there, process transitions, and don’t go into the core at all.
In short, for those who are also stupid: In order
to display the page that you typed with pens in WordPress, you need to put it in the correct directory and tell the engine about its existence.
Everything is pretty well described by this comrade . Spend 30 minutes and you will understand everything.
