Why doesn't transition on svg use work?

I ran into a problem that transition does not work on icons that are inserted using use. Is it possible to bypass this somehow?

This can be bypassed, but only in this way and only for the fill of the root SVG. In this case, this will work as it should:

In Firefox, styling the entire SVG structure via use works fine. But only in Firefox.
