Why doesn't the keyboard layout change in nemo?

This happens recently and it is in the Nemo file manager. When I rename a file or folder and try to change the layout to Russian using the Alt + Shift keys (I also tried Ctrl + Shift), the language does not change, and Nemo hangs for 3-5 seconds. If you start typing after changing the layout, then nothing is displayed, as if nothing is being printed, but after pressing Enter, the keys pressed are printed, and in English. If you change the layout before renaming, then as soon as you start renaming, the English layout is set. If during renaming you click in the tray on the language, then the language change occurs without problems.

Answer found! For a long time I was tinkering with the settings, but everything turned out to be simple. Along with the latest update comes this add-on: Fcitx. Nafig who needs it in Russia - I don’t know. But the removal was painful the first time. The second time, after restoring the system, everything went down. Solution:
We go into the program manager and delete everything that issues "Fcitx" on request. For me it was:
- Fcitx itself;
- Fcitx-bin;
- Fcitx-config-gtk2;
- Fcitx-frontend-gtk2;
- Fcitx-module-dbus;
- Fcitx-module-x11;
- Fcitx-modules.
I deleted everything and live in peace. Maybe someone will help.
