Why doesn't the browser send a Cookie with a request to get the font?

Hello!
I ran into this problem: there are fonts specified in CSS using @font-face. All resources lie on a separate server, where authentication is carried out through Cookie. Everything works great, except for the fonts - for some reason, the browser, when requesting them, does not set the Cookie and instead of the font we get 403.
Can you tell me what could be the matter?
Thank you in advance!

In one place they say it's right, in another they say it's a bug

As far as I know - the browser sends cookies only when requesting pages from the server. If the page downloads fonts from the 3rd place when opened, cookies are not attached to these requests.
