Why doesn't Skype work on OS 10.8.5?
My laptop is MAC OS X 10.8.5 but I need MAC OS X 10.9 to use Skype.
I've looked all over for this download, but I'm not sure which one to use. I don't have Maverick or
Lion, it just says Software OS X 10.8.5.
Skype stopped supporting anything before 10.9 and I can't update my OS without hacking a lot of software. It's very funny for skype to complicate the use of the voice application. Skype is nothing special for NEEEEED 10.9 so if anyone has a workaround for getting the Skype version to work on OS 10.8.5 please reply!!

This doesn't work =
1. Close Skype
2. Navigate to your applications folder in Finder and right-click the Skype icon
3. Select "Show Package Contents".
4. Click Info.plist.
5. Scroll down until you find it. Find these 3 lines:
array>
CFBundleVersion key>
6.15.0.335 string>
Replace Skype Version Number with the latest version of Skype:
array>
CFBundleVersion key>
8.12.0.14 string>
6. Then go to "File" and click "Save" or press combination Command + S
7. Open Skype
