Why doesn't my MacBook go to sleep when the lid is closed?
The MacBook stopped falling asleep, or rather, it seems to go to sleep, with the lid closed, but continues to work, as it gets very hot, and accordingly, during the trip home from work, which takes about 1 hour, it can sit down by 40%, and quite strongly warm up. NVRAM and SMC dropped, even reinstalled the system. Nothing helps, what could be the problem?

Check all the software that you installed after reinstalling the OS. Try logging out before closing the lid and observe the changes.
It does background work . If you reinstalled the system - perhaps spotlight indexing . Let it work for a week, should let go .
To exclude software, check the preventing sleep tab in the activity monitor.
