Why doesn't Macbook see any SSD?
There is a Macbook pro 13" 2011 A1278.
Works on a native Hitachi HDD. When you install any SSD on any Sata port (main or for DVD), it is not recognized by the system. It is not recognized at all - even diskutil list does not show it under recovery.
At the same time, another HDD sees without problems.SSD via USB also works well - it initializes, you can install the system and boot. That is, only the combination of SSD + SATA
works.I tried all the methods from Google that I found.Except for replacing the SATA cable - it seems doubtful that both came out of
SSDs tested:
Silicon Power V60 60Gb Kingstone ssdNow
v300 240Gb
Has anyone experienced this?

Problem solved? I've installed solid state drives on Macs and haven't run into any incompatibilities. True, I used more famous brands - Crucial, Plextor, OCZ. But from PC experience, you should always update the drive's firmware on a test computer before using it on a target computer. Good luck.
Um .. are you EXACTLY supplying power to the SSD with the power supply?
You didn't specify the year of your laptop.
If this is 2010, then there is nothing surprising in the behavior of such an ssd.
I would recommend using a Samsung Evo or Pro SSD for Apple products (the latter are a little faster in recording).
Hey! How did you solve the problem? The other day I bought a MacBook pro 2012 and wanted to rearrange the SSD from the old Macbook'a.
The drive only works in an external case.
Inside in both places refuses to be determined ((
