Why doesn't Figma allow you to make a group of layers?

Hello! A simple problem that breaks everything. Namely, in the layout, pressing ctrl + g does not create a group of selected layers. I started using it only today (web version), so I don’t know what to do. I tried it in the opera and Yandex browser, I don’t understand why it doesn’t work, most of the other hotkeys work. If anyone knows what can be done, thanks in advance)

Should work. Just checked the web version.
Layers on the same artboard?
Perhaps intersects with the global hot keys of some application.
