Why doesn't css work on WP?

I’ve been trying for an hour now to add a background image to wp through additional styles in the settings (so that I don’t climb in the style.css file itself), and then make a composite background from several images (otherwise even 1 image is not added), but background-image is not wants to work, only background-color works. Apparently not correctly as I indicate the link, tell me what the problem is. (in the first picture, only the .l-main class works, I tried to put the body, but it doesn’t change anything at all)
The same problem with fonts. I tried it in the normal way, through several fonts in the form (As in the 2nd picture), but it doesn’t help either

Probably just cache. Or browser or server or wp itself. open through the css code inspector and see if your edits are there, I think not.
