Why doesn't *buntu install on an old Intel Atom netbook?
Why is not a single version of *riots installed on the lenovo s10-3c netbook. I already shoveled all versions and architectures. The laptop freezes when I click install l/x/ubuntu. Changed RAM, hdd. No results.

1. Did you try to wait a long time (5..10 minutes) after freezing? experienced wildly slow start of Ubuntu installation on some computers (not Atom).
2. If instead of installing I choose to live-boot from the same media - what is the result? To be sure, I also suggest waiting a little longer.
3. Look towards disabling secure boot in BIOS\EFI if your netbook has it. When choosing a boot device by F8 \ F11 \ F12, there may be two options for a USB device - EFI and legacy - also experiment.
4. Linux is extremely tolerant of changing hardware, so consider this option: remove the disk (hdd \ ssd) from the netbook, hook it up to any other computer, install *buntu there, return the disk to the netbook.
5. Lenovo generally has an ugly approach to budget hardware, so don't be too surprised. Just in case, the last thing: is there no updated BIOS firmware on the site?
6. I have a netbook on an equally ancient Atom N450, (but not lenovo) - different versions of *ubuntu were put on it several times, there were no problems. This is me to the fact that Atom itself is not to blame.
under atom and other mobile processors look for specially sharpened versions of niks.
