Why doesn't Bitrix see images inside the .default folder?

In the local/templates folder, I created a .default folder. to connect styles, scripts, images to all templates from it. Styles and scripts are connected to me, but for some reason the images are not. What could be the problem?

I use DEFAULT_TEMPLATE_PATH to set resource path inside .default
