Why does vuejs-datepicker(1.5.2) in IE clear the date on focus removal?

<datepicker name="dateto" format="dd.MM.yyyy" input-class="form-control" :typeable="true" :language="ru" v-model="dateTo"></datepicker>

in ie, if you select a date and deselect the field, the date is cleared. How it is possible to overcome this problem?
