Why does the user jump to the top of the page when the window is closed?

The page has a "Our Works" section with a carousel of images ( link ). When you click on an image, it opens in full size using the FancyBox plugin and everything works well.

But also on this page, under the header there is a slider. And so, if you first flip through this slider, and then scroll to the section with works and open the image, then when it is closed, the user is thrown up.

Given that most users will first scroll through the slider, and then reach the section with works, this will constantly create discomfort.

I can't figure out what's going on, does anyone have experience or know how to solve this problem?
