Why does the site with chess slow down?

There is a very famous site with chess (I’m not sure if I can leave a link) in general, on Windows it works as it should, on Ubuntu the sound disappears from time to time and constantly freezes regardless of the browser, and on different distributions it’s the same, what could be a problem? the latest version of the video card driver and the hardware itself is powerful. It is possible that windows drivers work better than linux distributions.
