Why does the screen flicker after updating Nvidia drivers?
Edition: Windows 10 Pro
Version: 20H2
OS Build: 19042.685
Video Card: Nvidia GTX 1650 Super
Nvidia Driver Version: 460.89
When I purchased the graphics card in November, the screen flickering was exactly the same. I installed a new version of the drivers, after which sometimes (every 5-15 minutes) the screen "blinked" for a second - that is, the picture on the screen disappeared and the monitor turned black.
I decided to install the July 2020 driver and it fixed the situation - the blinks were gone. But I would like to play new games with higher FPS, so I downloaded the new driver version from 12/15/2020 - version 460.89. The screen flickering is back!
And I can't figure out what it's about. Last time, I thought it was due to an unstable driver, but now I downloaded a new WHQL driver (that is, tested) after a month and a half, and the situation has not changed. Does anyone know how can this problem be solved?

So, the problem is solved.
1) Since most often the problem occurred in Google Chrome, I disabled hardware acceleration in the browser settings.
Next, you need to run two commands in turn:
2) Press Win + X, select command (administrator) or PowerShell (administrator). In the window that opens, type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter. Wait for the procedure to complete.
3) In the same window, type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for the procedure to complete. Restart your computer.
I also want to note that the screen flashing occurred during an error from the Windows log. The error has not gone away, but the screen blinks are gone:

Try to install Nvidia Geforce Expirience and install drivers through it. Perhaps this will help. There is also a possibility that the video card is bad.
