Why does the network cable connection fail?
In Windows 10, the network connection began to behave strangely, the Internet disappears for a short time (3-5 seconds). Where the Internet icon appears - "Network cable is not connected" with a cross, and after a few seconds, work resumes. Tell me, please, where to dig and what to look for the problem? Impossible to work.

Look for a problem in the cable. Contact or short circuit. Or with a network card slot.
I connected a modern computer with Windows 10 to a Wi-Fi router via LAN, the connection stably disappeared several times an hour for ten seconds. I thought the problem was in the wire, although this was not the case on the old computer. Denis Blake 's solution (in the comments) helped.
I set the network card connection speed to 100 Mb / s. There were several short disconnections during the day.
Disabled the change of speed (Interrupt Moderation). It's okay for now.

Make a bootable USB flash drive with WinXP (as the oldest and most truthful option) and test the network on it.
If it is the same - the problem is in the card or in the contact of the connector or network equipment on the other side of the network cable.
If not, the problem is in Win10: either the driver or the OS itself.
PS: Also, sometimes there are pickups if the cable is poorly shielded, and some power core is added nearby (in the shield, riser, etc.).
Most likely the cable is damaged or badly crimped.
Just a week ago, the same thing happened at my house, the parasite cat got to the cable and nibbled a little.
As a result, I cut off the damaged piece, re-cut it, and bought food for the cat. In the end, everything works.
