Why does the monitor ripple when connected to a laptop?

I connect the Samsung SA850 and Asus UX32L monitor with a DP -> mDP cable. In this case, incomprehensible ripples and the disappearance of the image are observed. According to my feelings, the cable breaks somewhere on the laptop case, but I'm not sure. The cable with another computer works great. Connecting to laptop via HDMI works fine. This particular cable is needed because of the resolution of the monitor and the inability to use other options to connect it all together.

Long story short, it was the cable. Everything is ok with the other cable.

There is no contact in the connector ...
And try to make the laptop run on battery power - sometimes the problem is in the power supply of the laptop and its poor isolation from the mains.

Because the wire from the laptop to the monitor lies next to the charger or its wire.
