Why does the laptop not see the Wi-Fi network?
There is an Acer Extensa 5220 laptop and a D-Link DIR-620 router that distributes Wi-Fi.
The router is configured for 802.11 b/g/n, WPA2-PSK (AES), the laptop must understand 802.11 g.
After setting up the router, all devices saw the Wi-Fi network and worked with it. After turning off and on the router, the laptop stopped seeing the network, while the other laptop and smartphone do not complain. The laptop sees other networks.
Tell me, what could be the problem and where to dig?
UPD: Changing the channel from "auto" to fixed helped. Thank you.

Also pay attention in the router on which channel Wi-Fi is broadcasting, and try changing it to something closer to channel 5-6.
Had a similar issue on levelone.
DHCP on a router (IP it distributes for a grid?)? If so, try setting up fixed ips depending on the mac. And check the lease time settings.
If it does not help, try to physically register all the network settings on the laptop, without any auto-distribution.
I have a similar problem solved by this trick:
1. Turn off both devices: laptop and router.
2. Turn on the router, wait half a minute.
3. Turn on the laptop.
I may not have exactly the same thing, but close: after the Fedora update, the wireless network rises at startup every other time. I restart the network (service network restart). But I almost certainly have a software problem.
Set a fixed channel in the device ( check if your adapter works on this channel , some, for example, cannot work on 12), it’s better not to set the channel to 5-6 tk in AUTO mode, all devices work on it, and there is a lot of channel noise (if nearby there are neighbors with wi-fi), put the 11th and try.
I also have the same thing happening with the D Link router. Sometimes the Dell laptop does not see it. But the same time they see the instruments of Apple smartphone, Apple I pod, LG Tab, Samsung smartphone. that service did not help. He did not accept it as a defect since the rest of the equipment works fine.
I turn off the device, turn it upside down, tap it with my finger several times, and turn it on to the same position. When the device is already visible from the Dell laptop, then I will put it right. Already in a row I got two such routers. But this is not a final decision.
