Why does the fiber optic connection between buildings fail?
Good morning!
By the end of this summer, I got a job at the school as an assistant system administrator and we connected two buildings (the educational building of the school and the building where the circles are held) with a fiber optic cable so that the second building has Internet from the educational building.
In the educational building there is a UniFi Security Gateway PRO router with redundancy for two providers, a TL-SL2428 switch, a server with DHCP, and a Rubytech FE-C120SC optical media converter.
On the building where the circles are held, there is a Ubiquiti UniFi Switch US-24-250W switch, as well as an optical media converter Rubytech FE-C120SC.
Question: The Internet disappears necessarily 1-2 times a week on the second building. It helps to reboot both media converters, sometimes the TL-SL2428 switch. What could be the problem, has anyone encountered a similar problem?
Thank you!

It helps to reboot both media converters, sometimes the TL-SL2428 switch. For example, unstable power supply. Power surges cause the media converter to freeze. Power the media converters from the UPS. Start with the educational building, because. there and the switch freezes sometimes; also power the switch from the UPS.
