Why does the DEXP UPS not turn off charging when unplugged and melts?

I have a DEXP UPS.
After a massive power failure throughout the house, it (attention) does not turn off the charging mode when unplugged . In addition, the sickening smell of plastic does not stop coming out of the swollen back wall. There are plastic leaks.
It was not possible to pull out the battery, because you have to touch the powered wires. Opening with an ax is somehow sykotno.
An hour has passed since the failure (local time 00:31 08/24). At the moment I'm sitting and discharging the battery so that I don't bang too much, under other terrible conditions ...
