Why does the computer freeze when connecting a patch cord?

Hello! Next problem:
When connecting the patch cord to the computer, the CPU/disk/memory load rises to 100% and the computer freezes. If you disable the patch cord, then the download drops and everything works fine again. What could be the problem? Haven't seen this before.
PS: If you boot in safe mode, then this problem does not occur.
PS: Problem solved. The patch cord that came with the asus router turned out to be the culprit for the problem. The problem was solved by replacing the patch cord with another one. Many thanks to the users of the toaster! :-)

In safe mode, the network is disabled. There is an assumption that the patch cord is broken, rx and tx cores are closed in it, it turns out a loop and this loads the system, have you tried another patch cord?

Options: a crooked driver, or some software is actively trying to use the channel. Virus,

Perhaps you are the owner of a pirated version of Windows.
