Is it possible to control the barrier over the network?

Greetings dear ones!
We have one old barrier that works only from a hardware button (which, in fact, closes 2 wires and the barrier opens). Near it there is a booth, where, in fact, this button is displayed. A LAN (local video surveillance) is also laid in this booth. In this booth, recently, rarely has anyone been sitting, since this entrance is rarely used, but somehow the barrier needs to be opened. And now the question arose of how to organize a button at the central checkpoint that opens this disgrace. Unfortunately, there is no time to deal with all kinds of arduins, and therefore a solution is being sought, which is a button on one end of the LAN and a relay on the other end of the LAN. Moreover, the button is very desirable, since the guards are usually old people, and they are unlikely to want to deal with the web interface. For this I ask the most kind ladies and gentlemen:

Put the SU block nooLite , connect the relay to it, and the button to the relay. If space allows, then you can put the SR block . You control them with a remote control .
Implementation time 10 minutes.

Pull one pair off this patch cord and use it to power the relay. Why fence gardens?

There are also radio control alternatives.
However, something tells me that (if I myself don’t have time) to find somewhere (for example, at Freelance) a person who will assemble and program the circuit on an arduino will be faster and cheaper.

Well, I definitely do not advise you to power the relay through the LAN wires.
We had lighting at the institute in one box with cameras (apparently it was too lazy to do it separately), so when the light was turned on / off, the picture disappeared for 10-15 seconds. :D
Make a separate cable to the barrier, with a button where you need it, if you don't want "arduins".
Well, or, as they suggest - a radio channel.
Well, or a collective farm in the form of an unnecessary mobile phone (or maybe a telephone has already been laid there?!). When you call, the signal from its speaker is amplified through a transistor, which will open a relay that will act on the barrier! True, all SMS "shares" from the operator will sometimes arbitrarily open the barrier. :D

a router with openwrt, we solder a transistor to one of the LEDs, there are functions for turning on / off the LED. (I didn’t use it myself, my hands haven’t reached it yet)
As I understood from the clarification, it’s the router that is needed here, because a couple of switches stand in the way of the signal.

I can offer something like a WR703n router and web control (you can even use a relay via USB power). A simple button on the other end is indispensable, because. control via web.
Or do not get attached to the LAN and work with the relay over the air, the Chinese have solutions.

A LAN (local video surveillance) is also laid in this booth.

Hook PoE adapters at the ends of this wire, from the side of the booth (button) - a relay with contacts parallel to the button, from the other end - a button that supplies power to the relay.
If the LAN is not Gigabit, then it's even easier.
