Why does the AT2020 microphone output only one channel in OBS?

There is an Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone that is plugged into a Steinberg UR12. When recording video in programs or when checking the "listen from this device" checkbox, I hear both channels normally in the headphones. But as soon as I start OBS there, this microphone displays only 1 channel and, accordingly, the broadcast goes on one channel (heard in the left ear), while if you record a video, everything will be fine there. The problem is with live streaming.
If you go to the microphone settings in the OBS and set "Use in mono", then the problem goes away and the sound goes to both channels, but as I understand it, this is done for old microphones that do not have stereo sound, then it simply splits the sound into two channels and so imitates stereo. But I think this microphone is stereo and should work correctly without converting to mono, or am I mistaken?

@Franciz

And where did you get that in at2020 stereo? It, like almost any mainstream microphone, has only 1 channel and you plug it into the audio interface with one cable. So the channel is only 1. And in order not to hear the microphone in only one ear during playback, you need to make it clear to the recording software that your signal source is Mono
