Why does the Asus X550C laptop freeze tightly?

Hello.
The Asus X550C laptop has only been in operation for a little over a year. Not so long ago, it began to freeze, and tightly, until you press the shutdown button to the end, it will not turn off by itself, but it will not hang either.
I reinstalled Windows, checked for viruses, nothing was found. Sometimes I play on a laptop, but it freezes in any case, you can just turn it on and hang on the screen with a password.
Found another pattern when it works on the battery does not hang.
Sometimes it overheats and for some reason does not use fans, unfortunately there is no automatic fan start, as on Lenovo.
How else can you check and for what or is it already worth carrying for repair?

Perhaps corny clogged with dust and therefore overheats .... The service center would certainly not hurt. Or a competent friend who is able to clean / check ....
