Why does the arch linux boot with the i915.preliminary_hw_support=1 parameter hang?

I bought a new ssd drive and immediately installed arch on it. During installation, I immediately remembered the necessary parameter i915.preliminary_hw_support=1 for Intel SkyLake processors. I register so far in the grub menu itself, press ctrl + x and the load is hung up on reading blocks. The problem is noticed only when connecting a second monitor. Tell me how to be?
