Why does sound come out of the speakers and headphones when I connect headphones?
After the next update of Windows, the sound in the laptop disappeared. Reinstalled the driver, didn't help. I rolled back the Windows, after that, when the headphones are connected, the sound is duplicated and comes from both the headphones and the
built-in speakers. What to do? Thanks in advance.

Go into playback devices and put only 1 by default if it's an OS issue. View application settings and select only one audio output if this is a software problem.
Conversation is specific about Windows.
You have lost the setting from the "driver" of the "sound card". For a long time, this is no longer a driver, but a program that works with the driver. When launched, they hang their icon in the tray. Today it can be one of two programs: from Realtek (looks like a brick-colored speaker, or something like that) and VIA (black and white logo with a note in a circle).
It is in their settings that you need to configure, firstly, the sockets (only the socket designated as for headphones will mute the sound at the line output), and secondly, this is the very turning off of the speakers when the headphones are turned on.
