Why does sftp connection drop in vs code when trying to open a file?

Today, all of a sudden, I can’t connect to any host through VS Code
, at first the connection goes through and I see folders, I can even climb them, but as soon as I try to open any file, the connection drops. At the same time I tried with different hosts, the result is the same. Until today, everything worked fine, no updates were installed.
