Why does OpenVPN assign the same name to the client's machine as the assigned address?

The physical name of the client computer does not change. But in the VPN network, it has the same address with the name, and, judging by this, ping does not pass from the server to the client (everything is ok from the client). The fact that the name of the client in the VPN network matches the address was found out by the ipscan24 software.
I would appreciate any options!
PS: there is a connection, RDP, for example, works

which means "and, judging by this, the ping does not pass from the server to the client (everything is ok from the client)". That's not why at all.
In any case, ping uses the IP address, it doesn’t matter what name it is, it resolves it using DNS and then works only with the address.
Most likely, the firewall configuration on the client\routing configuration on the server or incorrect tunnel configuration interferes with the correct operation.
Well, the name is written in the DNS precisely because of the incorrect configuration of the VPN server, which most likely registers such crooked records in the DNS server, it is doubtful that the client would do such stupid things.
But in any case, without knowing the versions and configurations of the software and details, all this cannot even be called coffee grounds.
