Caching DNS proxy for Linux with ability to change TTL?
Situation: there is a laptop with Ubuntu and unstable 3G Internet, sometimes degrading to disgusting GPRS. I would like to sweeten my life a little by caching DNS queries. And caching for a long time, increasing the TTL ten times, for example.
Actually the question is: who can do it? I have been looking for such an opportunity in the wonderful dnsmasq for a long time, but apparently not fate.
PS Maybe I don't want that at all, and there are better solutions?
PPS I am aware of a separate cache in browsers. I use not only the browser.

Your system already comes with a dns caching service called nscd which is part of glibc. It will easily rewrite TTL to the one you need.
