Why does Micron RealSSD P400m 2.5 400GB SATA 6Gb/s cost so much?

I came across such an SSD-shnik, I began to google what's what. I ended up finding it on Amazon for $1,300. I'm really not very savvy, so I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that there are cheaper and more powerful ones.

There are sometimes inadequate price tags for stale pieces of iron.
For his native 2013, the characteristics are not the worst. As far as retrospectively I can immediately find - they wanted to compete with the intel DC S3700. However, the price tag of $1300 would have been inadequate even then, not like now (I didn’t find any MSRP for reference).

Well, intraprice is the same. High reliability, 7 Petabyte recording resource, warranty.

Why is a rare Cossack worth 300 thousand? You can also buy a Chinese tractor, which is cheaper and more powerful.
The price does not depend on the characteristics of the device, it depends on supply and demand.
