Why does installing Ubuntu on Virtualbox crash?
The entire installation process runs smoothly. At the end, a message pops up that the installation was successful and you need to restart the PC. I click on "OK" and VirtualBox crashes.

1. Because the hands are crooked ;-)
(never crashes for anyone)
2. Get a ready-made Ubuntu image for VirtualBox and don't waste time on it: pre-installed images for VitrualBox
