Maybe it was bought earlier through godaddy, but now it's released and passed into the hands of godaddy themselves?
What does whois show?
I had the same thing, just the other way around. You still can't buy a domain.
Just yesterday, godaddy not only let me go to the purchase procedure, but even sort of carried out the sale, having withdrawn money from the card, and then sent a letter, like "oh, the domain does not register, boom, sort it out, and, if cho, we will return the money"
