Why does domail.local resolve through NetBIOS?

Network with a domain (KD for 2012). On all computers in the network (vin7), access to domain.local periodically disappears (network drives fall off, GPs are not used, pings do not go in the end). I started WireShark on the server and saw that periodically clients send requests to resolve the domain.local name via nbns, then again I can send via simple dns and again via nbns. Periods from 10 minutes to several hours.
On one computer, disabling "netbios over tcp / ip" in the properties of tcp / ip v4 in the connection helped, but why does domain.local get into the nbns request at all

The WINS services are probably raised.

You specified to Windows that it is in the domain.local domain. The NetBIOS protocol is enabled by default, it has its own naming system, so Windows tries to find the domain using this protocol too.
From the fact that the requests that you see in wireshark are coming, it does not follow that this is the reason for the loss of access.
