Why does Asterisk stutter while playing a recording?

When playing a recording from Asterisk, there are stutters, the server has enough resources, the packets all leave normally. It used to be normal, what could be the problem, who faced it? I tried to transfer to another physical disk, but the result is the same. For a more complete understanding of the situation, asterisk is located on a vmware virtual machine, and there are two such machines, and both have the same problem.

It is important to understand that a VM with an asterisk is located on a hypervisor and is forced to share resources with other VMs on the server. I assume that something has changed, that perhaps the VM does not get processor time or gets it with a delay. And then every millisecond counts.
I don’t know, I would look at the general situation on the hypervisor by download levels.
