Why does an error occur when opening a file in macromedia flash 8?

A person gave me a .fla file that he made in macromedia flash 8.
But when you open this file, the program gives an Unexpected file format error.
What to do?

Unexpected file format means that fla is saved in one of the versions above macromedia flash MX:
- flash 8
- flash CS3
- flash CS4
- flash CS5 You
can open such a file only in the version in which it was saved or higher.
