Why does American Megatrends appear?

Hello. Can you tell me why American Megatrends is crashing. At what with the text they say the problem is due to holding the power button and so on. Literally, then:
The system has POSTed in safe mode. This may be due to the previous POST attempt failing because of system instability, or if the power button was held in to force the system off.
