Why does a web designer need Adobe Illustrator?

Please tell me why a web designer needs Adobe Illustrator?
Are there any tasks that Photoshop cannot solve?

Correct the logo, icons in SVG.
If you don't have a vector in your site layouts, I wouldn't call myself a designer)
Photoshop - raster. Illustrator - vector.

Scalable graphics without loss of quality for example.
The idea to use Photoshop as a development tool arose long ago, when there were no worthy tools. Nowadays, designing any kind of graphic elements in Photoshop for the web is a rather strange task, after all, this is a photo manipulation tool, and not for creating graphics.

Although there are vector capabilities in FS, they still go there as a side effect.
Simple icons / pictograms can be done in FS, in principle.
But as the complexity grows, you will hit the ceiling very quickly.
