Why does a laptop cut internet speed?

Initial data:

  • Internet via fiber with a tariff of 800 megabits / s
  • router with gigabit ports and wi-fi standard ac 5GHz
  • desktop with gigabit port on ubuntu
  • laptop with gigabit port and wi-fi standard ac 5ghz on windows

What was done:
  • connected the router to the desktop with a cable, measured the speed with a speedtest - stable 800 Mbps
  • I connected my laptop to wi-fi 5GHz, measured the speed with a speedtest - 250-320 Mbps, more than 320 does not rise
  • took out the cable from the desktop, disconnected the laptop from wi-fi, put the same cable into the laptop - 250-320 Mbps, more than 320 does not rise

From which I conclude that the problem is on the side of the laptop. Either something needs to be tweaked in Windows, or something is wrong with the network card. Help me understand where to dig

Speedtest to the same server in all cases? iperf, librespeed, speedtest-cliHave you tried other methods ( )? From another OS?
Judging by the symptoms, I am inclined either to the lack of strength / overheating of the iron on the laptop, or to the unrepresentativeness of the test.
