Why do we need CMS if there is phpmyadmin?
No really, why? Applies to small business card sites and small online stores.
Let's suppose the site of the office: portfolio, services, news, about us, contacts. What's the point of connecting WordPress (or something else), fiddling with templates, when you can quickly wrap and output data from the database in a loop? And enter new data through phpmyadmin (pictures - to the server).
Or here is a small regional online store, without the need for CRM integration. We designed, made up, connected the database. Any function can be added in 15 minutes, no need to learn all sorts of webasyst, livestreet, opencart, ...
In general, such a bundle is universal and is not tied to a specific specialist. No need to look for a bitrix specialist, a programmer who worked with livestreet and other characters.
Explain why I'm an idiot and why you need 250 thousand WordPress settings files and a waste of time studying the features and interface of each individual CMS.
Of course, this refers to the case when the site is created from scratch - design, design, layout, database.

Because for each task it is usually much easier to use highly specialized tools that are aimed specifically at solving this task in the most convenient way.
If you are a programmer and it is convenient for you to use phpmyadmin, this does not mean that it is intuitive and convenient for everyone.
In my WordPress projects for clients in the admin panel, I generally remove all unnecessary buttons and, in general, everything that they should not use. In the simplest case, there are just 3 menu items (for example: Blog, Clients, Reviews). And the exit button. Everything. Absolutely anyone who is able to press three buttons will deal with this matter without instructions.
So many who answered and no one complained about the question) the question is the most delusional.
Why do we need planes, trains, cars, because there are legs and shoes
As for me, it's better to be tied to a CMS than such bicycles. Reading the CMS documentation and making changes will be much faster than understanding the next invention. In addition, CMS are created so that they can be used by non-specialists.
Come on, make me a small store so that it has categories with nesting, products with images and characteristics, so that images are sprinkled and saved for thumbnails of different sizes. So that products can be linked to other similar ones. Still need a basket, discounts and promotions. And don't forget about SMS and email notifications. And most importantly - all this should be conveniently and quickly managed through PMA.
You are talking about two different things. You mean admin panel, not CMS. It is easier to edit and do anything in the admin panel than in phpMyAdmin. The CMS itself is needed to simplify tasks - if you want, do it without it. Although I would advise reading about CMS in 40 lines of code. On Habré, the topic flashed, I just could not find it
And enter new data through phpmyadmin (pictures - to the server).
