Why do so many people troll Gnome3?
The other day I installed Gnome3, immediately removed gnome-shell and almost everything from autoload (except for the settings daemon). Then I installed tint2, conky, xcompmgr as usual. It turned out very even nothing, especially the system does not load (2-3% CPU and ~ 200MB of memory).
It's clear that gnome-shell is mainly for tablets, but that's just changing. Why do so many people troll Gnome3? Am I missing something?

Everything is elementary. People are forced to completely change the way they use a computer, making previously honed skills useless. To adapt to a new shell, you need time during which work productivity decreases, and it’s not a fact that performance after adaptation will be at the same level. And not everyone has time. The situation is aggravated by the fact that when updating, semi-large distributions offer only a new shell and do not allow you to return to a full-fledged old one. Well, the gnome-panel replacement, firstly, as far as I know, does not import settings from Gnome2, and secondly, does not contain the functionality that was in Gnome2. The degradation of software has never brought pleasure to anyone.

not comfortable Gnome3 is a matter of habit. I tried to rebuild under the unit and under Gnome3, but horror is not convenient. I have a lot of programs in my work and I put some on the panel, and some on the start menu.
And in the unit of figs you will find them, and it’s not convenient to choose.
gnome3 and Unity are made for tablets, where you need to select with your fingers, so they take up a lot of space on the screen, and I have so little screen, and then this ugly panel ate so many pixels
