Why do printer drivers crash when I switch the printer cord between computers?
Good afternoon! The organization has two working computers side by side, they have a common Canon MF4410 MFP. It is connected to one or another computer with a cable as needed. In recent months, when switching the printer, the drivers on both computers began to fly off, i.e. it is worth switching the cable from computer1 to computer2 and the driver fails on the second one. You return - refuses and on the first. Moreover, if you reinstall the driver and do not switch the printer anywhere, everything works for weeks without failures on any of these computers. Unfortunately, there is no way to check the behavior of the printer with other computers or another printer with these options. It is also impossible to share the printer over the network - a dozen home basic does not have such functionality. How to overcome the problem?

Buy a print server box or assemble it on your knee from any raspberry-like board using CUPS, SANE and Samba "server" for distributing a printer and scanner. The price of the issue is 2-3 sput and an evening for tuning.
