Why do most startups focus on the West?
Hello!
Why do you think most startups are oriented towards the West?
Even the names most often consist of English words.
After all, we also have a large market - 140 million people, and there is also the CIS and a decent part of successful Western products have not yet been "localized", i.e. does not work for us, which makes it possible to occupy a niche with a replica or your own product or service.
Or, for example, take the Asian region - a huge population figure, powerful and rich economies, and also fantastic opportunities for start-ups.
Why do all (or most) startups aspire to the USA and Silicon Valley?
Thank you!

It's all about the solvency of the audience. In the West, people are used to paying for everything. They understand that any product must pay for itself, otherwise it will disappear. Therefore, the concept of "dollar voting" is very common there.
We have it all in its infancy. Basically, people and companies try to get everything for free or save as much as possible. But we are slowly moving in the right direction, although not as fast as we would like.
It is possible to launch products/services in Runet as well. We did just that . There are many risks in this case, but with a correct assessment of the market, the proper quality of execution and a significant reserve of funds, everything can work out.
> 140 million
How many of them use a PC? How many consider PCs and smartphones an integral part of life? How many of them are willing to buy or pay for the service? 140 million? Seriously? Can we reduce to a couple of million teenagers aged 12 and over? And then they need to be "forced" to buy domestic. More precisely, somehow get their parents to buy them (this is for 12-25 years). The population over 40 years of age does not need all this for nothing. Most of the population with a salary of 20k can not afford it. WHO WILL BUY? I immediately remembered a comic book about a journalist and a scientist.
