Why do IPTV channels hang on a TV box set-top box when connected directly without a router?

My provider provides IPTV service over a local network. A twisted pair cable (optical line) is connected to the apartment. If you connect a TV box directly to the optics, any IPTV channel freezes after 10-15 minutes while watching, after manually restarting this channel or starting another one, it works again for 10-15 minutes and freezes. The same prefix works with the router as much as you like, the channels do not freeze.
Now I don't have a router, it's broken. How to watch IPTV on a set-top box without a router stably and without freezes?
